The Florida primary will be upon us before we know it. Absentee ballots are already out. As a reminder, we're hoping to provide to the local Republican party names of people who can be available to drive Republican voters to the polls. Is this something you might be available for? If you can give a Republican a ride, whether it's for early voting or on January 31, please email us at

with your info, incl. what part of town you're in and any dates that might work.
We have a great, unique event coming up this week that you surely won't want to miss.
Thursday, January 19 at 7:00 pm we're going to CocoWalk for a special screening of The Iron Lady, the new film chronicling the life and times of Lady Margaret Thatcher.
Following the movie, we will be honored to welcome in Consul General Kevin McGurgan, OBE. Mr. McGurgan is the lead British representative to Florida, and has agreed to join us to share a few thoughts about the real Margaret Thatcher, conservatives (aka "Tories") in England, and the relationship between the UK and the US throughout the Reagan administration.
The cost of the event is only the cost of the movie ticket... but we do ask you to please let us know if you're planning to attend, as we need to make preparations with the theater, which means knowing how many people to expect.
This is an open event, and would be a great opportunity to invite friends even if they're not (yet) Republican... the more the merrier!
Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 24 at The Globe Restaurant & Bar, which is located at 377 Alhambra Circle, near LeJeune Road, in Coral Gables.
We begin with a happy hour from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm and the business of the meeting around 7:30 pm. Featured speakers list is still being finalized (watch here for updates), but you can be sure it will be connected to the January 31 primary. A reminder, our meetings are open to Republicans of all ages!
